Fear

Fear paralyses my body
Fear strangles my dreams
Fear freezes my soul
Fear hurts my heart
Fear criticizes, every word stabs
Fear bends my will
Fear makes my decisions
Fear ban, bars, banishes
Fear clips my horizons
Fear darkens my blue skies
Fear kills my chances
Fear fear!

While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
