Freedom with The Father

  A girl dressed in white
Not yet a bride
But just as beautiful in your eyes
Through the rose tinted lens of grace you see her

Giggles abound the air, smiles full of teeth and lips and stomachs from which laughter flows endlessly
As though drunk
Just from breathing the air I share with you
this is it. freedom, set free, redeemed,
Turning and twirling and swooping
Of dresses and hair and face and
Turning and twirling and swooping and running and skipping and jumping

manor in the back
grass. lawns of green, but we float over it, hardly touching the blades
We lie and watch the sky
blue to white to blue
We run and swoop and laugh
Laughter fills the spaces in between my fingers and toes and even they are moved to dancing from the sight and knowledge of your greatness and the delight I find in you, and unbelievably, you in me.
We intertwine our fingers
Together you hold mine,
Intimately we walk and to passers by
The words bubble out of my mouth
“I am with The Father”,
I am with the Father.
