Friends - Poem by Mitta Xinindlu
I have met many of you through times of my struggle.
I mean, I have built our strong friendships in tough times.
I have met your souls,
So beautiful and caring that I usually ask myself,
What in the world can I do to show gratitude to you.
You have been my strength in my weakness.
You have texted and called when I was down in spirit.
You have gone extra miles to make me feel just a little bit more comfortable.
You have introduced me to your families and circle of friends and I appreciate that.
You have loved me and said sweet words to me.
You have been kind. You have been beautiful to me.
You sheltered me when there was thunder and storms.
You built me when I was shattered into pieces.
You defended me when I was on the ground.
You forgave me when I wronged you.
You have been good to me and I appreciate you.
