Tami Brooke

Good-Bye

In the deep blue space that is your eyes
Staring, gazing into a star filled sky
I am with you and only you
I hear nothing, see nothing, but you
I seem lost in the vast, dark ocean
But I have found you so
I am not lost
I am not alone
I am complete
I see my reflection in you
Your reflection in me
How many seconds have passed?
How many words have been spoken?
How many kisses have been savored?
Our love must stop time once more
Because I don't want to say goodbye

Poem of the Day

poet Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
