My Patience Tried

  I tried....
To be a nice gal...........
And now I
Wonder Why
I even tried...

We write,
Through sweat,
Blood and tears...
And all of our years,
Our anguish, our fears,
Seem to be wasted,

Because when we post
The things that mean the most,
The things that we have lived through,
And cried our souls out about,
All the joys and sorrows,
The todays, and maybe
The tomorrows, our hopes,
Our fears, and those
We hold Most Dear...

POEMHUNTERS PULLS THE RUG
RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER US......
AND WE ARE LEFT,
LYING FLAT OF OUR BACKS....
WONDERING IF ANYONE GOT
THE NUMBER OF THE HACK
WHO RAN US OVER......

This poem is dedicated to a very dear friend, Donall Dempsey, whose favorite poem was pulled by PH management. Big Brother is alive and well....and living with PH management........

Before we pull the plug, we had better check that we are not draining away something special, or washing away something of quality
Pause, think, two steps back, question, query, don't always act

Oh my patience was tried and tested! I shall be departing these happy hunting grounds soonly! So it won't really matter. Thank you for sticking up for the poem...this is one of the one's I read at the gathering of the clan(and it had just got published) and everyone was not offended by...indeed they did indeed like it muchly. It were the sly way they did pull it that annoyed me. I continue to read it at almost any performance I do and it has never never eever offended...(quite the opposite) ...'til now! Female anatomy is mentioned and highlighted but not in any offending way and the poem is tender love poem about art and the art of expression and love and the loss of love. No offence was ever meant... you might as well be offended by a nude in an art gallery. A lady breastfeeding her baby recently under scores of nudes in the Tate gallery was asked to leave...they later apologised.

Ah, c'est la V!

Again thank you for standing by me on this one and putting your opinion on the line. I know that you don't relish 'language' so it was a hard call for you to make but you made it.

love Donall Donall
