Rookie (3 december 1939 / Village Finta, Dambovitza)

nobody knows

nobody knows
how to pass through the strait
with the Poetry
on the shoulder in the night

my fear as a shelter
vigilance is on post
a rust Byzantium
like molasses compost

books from the shelf
silently rebuke me
I drank the cup of the day
with the chair bruderschaft
nobody laughed

one by one pile thoughts
were filled with dust
all is flowing too fast
even too late enough
cries a seraph

sorry nuisance
care of each house
garrulous man
don't close his mouth

romanian version

nimenea nu ş tie
cum trec prin strâmtoare
cu noaptea în spinare
vadul Poezie

frica mea un adă post
zaua fiecă rui lanţ
rugineş te un Bizanţ
ca melasa un compost

că rţ ile din raft
mă mustră tă cut
paharul zilei l-am bă ut
cu fotoliul bruderschaft

unul câte una
gândurile vraf
nopţ ile de jaf
până mâine luna
plânge un seraf

stâlpul bă tă tura
paza la avut
omului limbut
nu-i mai tace gura

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
