Of Needles And Pain

Early morning injustice, awake by yesterday's defeat
Head burtsing in pain, eyes filled with tears
Blinded by the darkness of light
The deafening silence of a roaring thunder
This is my harmony.
On my deathbed, I pray for you to come
Indulging the bitterness of your sweet embrace
You are my drug, you made me your addict
Fill me up again, satisfy my desire
The pills aren't working, I'm floating in anger
Addicted by the loneliness, by the abscence of you
Needle prick my veins, inject you to my bloodstream
Flow and go on flowing, feed my heart and let it pump
The dissonance of its every beat
The distention, explode, explode!

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
