Mandi Ducroq (9 April 1974 / Cape Town)
Remember
I want to forget you so badly
Remembering hurts
At the same time, I am scared that I will forget
Right now, I remember every place we've been
I remember every song that has touched us in some way
I remember your smile, your voice, your smell,
The exact blue of your eyes
How long will it be fore I start to forget
How long before I have to try to remember
What now is like breathing - second nature
One thing I know - my heart will never forget
Neither will my soul
I am sure, in time, I wont see your face
Every time I close my eyes
But I know that everytime my heart beats
It will be remembering you
