Treasure Island

Michael McParland

Sorrow and despair are what fill me right now.
I'm missing the loving connection given from up above.
I don't know if you love me still and I could not blame thee if those feelings have fled.
I just wish I could feel confidence and purely secure,
to pour out my soul to let you know in full just how I feel.
Sorrow and deep remorse and despair,
are what now fill my heart I always have and I always will,
love you with all my heart and soul forever in eternity my heart is yours my sweet precious dear.

Please forgive all my follies I miss you with emptiness inside my soul.
Sorrow without you in my ever wandering confusing life,
makes it all empty and pointless I beg your forgiveness I give you my whole life to relieve your pain and strife.
Despite all the sorrow I love you so dear,
you're my angel pure beauty no other can compare.

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
