The Pain Within

When I Awake
There Is A Pain Within
Deep Within My Heart
That Travels Through My Soul
Sometimes It Burns
Sometimes It Stabs
But Mostly It Aches
But Never Subsides
For Just One Day
I Wish That This Pain
Would Find Somewhere Else To Rest
To Allow Me The Freedom To Breathe
Without Catching Me Half Way
Allow Me To Walk Comfortably
Without The Fear Of Falling
To Allow My Child To See Me Smile Again
Without This Pain Within

    It seems to be a stressful feeling not exactly a pain, it goes life within on and off.
    Life is a mystery with smiles and pains.Emotional poem. (Report) Reply

poet Sarah Flower Adams

O Love! thou makest all things even
In earth or heaven;
Finding thy way through prison-bars
Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
