The Rose Petals Walk

From a distance I see the face and the smile

A smile that floods the room

The music is intoxicating with Love

My Love is walking on Rose Petals

White as snow and more beautiful than a Rose

Her dress is magnet for the eyes

She walks, walks the softest steps, gracious as a Queen

Along her side the man, the figure of inspiration

As I meet her half way something magic happens

She is truly given to me as a gift from God

A gift that has no price but yet most precious

As we look at each other I see her eyes

Gold as the honey and so intense as the fire

Now we stand, we stand before the whole world

A world that will witness the miracle of Love

As we accept each other, the skies open

And light shines down upon us, light from heaven

As the cherry on the top, the kiss

A Kiss so passionately that will seal the fate of Love

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
