This Beauty

I have seen many girls in my life
Some, dark and tall, brown and short
I'm 5'8 and dark neither matches my description
Some covered in a cake of make ups
Those I feared, what if they were half baked
Or worse, if I wanted a kiss in the rain
Some, with borrowed hair
I dont want to think about the blowing wind
I'm not a very good athlete

So I have been waiting...
For a beauty, from heavens of course
If you see a beautiful girl, Brown eyes, so that I can see the sun set in her eyes
Long blonde hair falling on her back, a little bit of a nerd

Understanding, smart, intelligent faithful and God fearing
Make way for this awesome and wonderful lady
I have waited, been waiting...for her this while
For her I will keep chaste.
For her I'm still not ready to hit the relationship's power trip
I will wait for you.

Poem of the Day

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
