War In Shame - Poem by Andrew Curtis Markey

The sound of tanks moving on ground,
Run behind walls and hide
Aircraft in the sky on a rebound,
As the soldiers march with pride

Run! Run! Run! Civilians cry,
Hiding the children as men take a stand
Sacrifices are made with no goodbye
Dieing for freedom and their land

Superiors don’t care they only want power,
Invading small towns to get there
War In Shame is what they desire,
In a country corrupted and bare
