Wind - Poem by Ben Borkan

Dedicated to Alicia Miller

What goes up must go down,
What you see in the air will always be there,
What we say travels around the world at the speed of sound,
But everything out theories are based on includes air,
The wind blows in every way we can think of,
But what we do when the wind gets to us determines our character,
Whether we face the wind when it come rolling over the mountain,
Of we turn around and close our eyes and wait for it to pass,
But the person with true courage turns and faces the wind,
Then they turn around and get out of the wind,
For clouds are soon to follow,
Then there is rain,
The courageous one goes inside,
And watches as the rain pours down,
But the one who dares to face the wind gets soaked in the end,
And no matter what, they will get wet.
Nature determines our character,
Act the way you do inside,
And the rain will never touch you.
