The Aisle Of Flags

My son walked up to a stone podium and saw it was blank. He asked me why me, 'Why doesn't it have words on it? '

I told him that it didn't need words, he just had to listen.

As he began to walk down the Aisle of Flags, I asked him, 'Can you hear them? '

The say, ' I am here because I have served my Country, my family, and my oath. I have gave the my all. My loyalty, my love, and all the protection to keep them safe. When they asked me to serve my Country, to protect my love ones and defend our freedom. I said, 'yes'.

He thought for a minute and said, 'Your right mom they say a lot more than I thought.'
