Words From A Bleeding Heart

I remember the anger in you're voice
And the aggrivation in you're hands.
I remember the fear you placed in me
And the tears you made me shed.
I remember the warmth of you're hug
And the love in you're smile.
I remember the words of you're good-bye
And you're back as you walked away.
Life robbed me of you.

Did you wander about me?
Did you even care?
Did you miss me or forget all about me?
Would you believe me to be beautiful or look at me as the ugly duckling?
Would you be proud of the woman I grew into?
Or shun me for my faults?
These are questions never to be answered
For you're six feet under
You're name carved into a stone.
Life robbed me of you.

Meet me at the golden gates of heaven
Wrap me in the warm hug I remember
Smile at me with that same loving smile
There I will tell you 'Dad I love you and I forgive you'
For I was robbed of you in life but not in death.
