Defining Poems
Poems are indeed works of art
because they reflect what a poet
was, is; did, does; had, has and dreams;
thus, what he'll be, do and have.
Poems are shreds of the poet's
soul, heart, skin and spirit too.
Squeeze a poem and sweat, blood and
tears will come out of it, for sure.
Thoughts, feelings and images are
what poems are made of, you'll see!
Dip a poem into your head,
heart and guts and you'll get it.
Some poems will require more
thoughts, or feelings or images.
