Oh Creator, look what you have done.
You have gone and given me, the warmth of the sun….
I asked you for a miracle, and this was provided. Whimsical and quizzical, and magically resided.
A happy puppy, always so bright, so warm and sunny, a true guiding light.
A sweet little puppy, so loving and free. A wonderful friend, to play and grow with me.
Needing lots of attention, she is sometimes a chore. Its really not a problem, I always want more.
With smiles and licks, we can always feel good. Follows me everywhere, all around the hood.
She sleeps on my toes, she kisses my nose, she delights to the touch, I love her so much.
I'll watch her grow, she'll help me know, this very essence of; a most wonderful love.
and this deep, and abiding love that binds us here, and up above
It warms my heart, and makes me cry to think of why, I am such a lucky guy
And if only I knew, how wonderful it would be
a feeling that's long overdue, between Maya and me
Teaching of the beauty, of a life and love together in each of us of the duty, not only in fair weather
To be the friend, that another needs, to the very end, is a love that feeds
The heart to strongly beat, within us everyday
allowing each of us to meet, the things that come our way…
