I have no aspirations
I am alone forever

She reads me as if
Her power beyond the stillness
Were impenetrable
Keeping secrets hidden

As time fades across the sky
And the sun shines on you and me
Our worlds apart so far beyond
Any physical landscape

She weaves in and out
Of the days filling the lonesome
Vacuum that has become my life
Talking chosen with words
...

At a loss to escape
The inferno within
Only the the smoke visible
To the surrounding populace
...

She talks of horses
Knowledgeable and confident 
Teaches me everything
I should know
...

I did them a favor
They did me a favor
Unconscious of the gift
Paid quietly for the evenings
