Our first contact was not what anyone would expect - it was not a kiss, not a sweet word or promise of love - but a kick, a kick, a kick, my soft thud that opens a floodgate of love and all things good, a kick that also opened to her a new hope and life she has prayed for.

Mom and dad would spend the night walking the lane of their future world with me, talking to me, and among themselves about how to herald me to the world, with dad sometimes putting his head on her abdomen just to listen and feel the beat of my heart. If lucky, he would even get a kick from me to inform him that I am listening in - with equal enthusiasm of my future life.

Nature plays out the role of Yin(female) and Yang(male) in the most mystical manner in our cosmos. Our father is like the dazzling sun who gives us his love and energy so that we can have the best providence while Mother is like the moon, who would beam with the love she receives from dad, circles round us as a part of her and dad, and gives us the light and warmth we need to sustain ourselves.

The moon shows a different face on each day as it wanes and waxes. Whether she is there or not there, the love is there as sure she would return with a blast in our sky, lighting it up for us. We see the different sides of Mother like the moon, as we grow up; a crescent, a half moon or a full moon, they are the same moon, full of affection and love. Whether we are in the right or wrong, Mother would be behind us with her unconditional love, guiding us in the right path to help us sail smoothly through life.
