Looking out a huge window, eyes following an ocotillo to its
very top, noticing some of its branches are curled over, the
further up they go, they tangle with one another.

People gathering now on the dance floor, everyone saying hi,
all of us friends of Cold Front Band, their music always
teasing, tempting everyone as it flows evenly in and through
brain neurons and synapses.

All ages and nationalities out on the dance floor while
a poet silently sits here at the table writing poetry as
its being translated through rhythms.

Tantalizing memories stepping into measures of past
images of all who've been coming to hear Cold Front
play.

Riding through the mountains having a good time, sitting in
the saddle, using our minds, remembering all the wonder and
beauty we've seen through the years.

Country western rocking the Stinger Bar like a drum,
having a grand time, skirts swinging around women as
they dance with their partners of choice.
