Thorns Of Scorn

Afflicted by a thorn the infirmity of distress
A bubble of trouble on the part it will compress

Active upon the body it finds comfort in it
Soaking its afflictions, on the part it will rip

Scornful the socking, it gives in its punch
A bite it takes from the source of its lunch

Shouting and pouting in the illness it spreads
Puffed up in the poison disturbance it treads

Feeding on the eating, the strength of its breeding
Its happiness the suffering, which you are breathing

Ailments are its portion the character of its distortion
Depleting your health the intention of its extortion

Pestilence of sickness the plague of wellbeing
Waiting is the time when it has no sting

Bringing the hope in a time yet to appear
Deliverance in ONE that makes it clear

A Hope that is given the assurance of living
Prosperity in health this life you will be given

Strengthened by trusting in the words of life
Encouragement that today is a passing strife

In yearn we groan for Christ to remove the stain
Diseases that inflict us and cause us our pain

In patience our trust is in the one who will fulfill
The conditions of affliction the cry of all the ill
