Sailing to windward Poems

Guiding us through light streaked haze,
points the crusted chain,
to overwhelm in shadow paint
a thing once loved, now slain
...

Safe now and free to plough the sweeter deep
where to do's and not to do's count no more
In closing eyes I plan no more to weep
...

From dark deceit where cleverly
I wily steer my selfish goals
I thank my wit for saving me
the fruitless pain of braver souls
...

They see a mad man dancing in the park.
He’s no follower or leader,
neither bellower nor bleeder
He just glimpses light, where they see dark.
...

Anchored, long-line ashore.
Tucked up for the night,
not a soul in sight.
Hills fade to silhouette,
...

We left the beach and dusty road
And scrambled up the rock strewn hill
The moon was full, as were our hearts
And all around was still
...

Having been deserted
by his golden touch,

he was left with twelve bars
...

Need and greed don't often rhyme
but when they do, buy quicklime.
...

I try hard not to blink an eye.
A wipe or wink is safe (I think)
But whith my last blink,
fifty years flew by
