He arose from the passover feast,
A joyous occasion for most;
But for Him, with knowledge afore thought;
He arose to say goodbye to those He loved.

I am alone!
I sit here an old woman,
And wonder why it is I who has lived on.
I am alone!

The Passover Feast

He arose from the passover feast,
A joyous occasion for most;
But for Him, with knowledge afore thought;
He arose to say goodbye to those He loved.

He washed their road- stained feet
And returned, downcast, to His seat.

As they broke the bread and drank the wine,
He said " try to be forever mine"
For I with you will always be.
So go forth without timidity
And preach my Gospel to the world.

For a while I won't be free--
But when its over you will see,
I'll rise again and come to you,
And you will know my word is true.

For in the end things will move fast--
God's peace will fill the world at last..
