To Mr S And Mr. T

Mr. S and Mr. T.
went climbing up a tree.
They sang a song
about a man
who was barely
four foot three.
They told him once.
They told him twice
to write a better tune.
It was a quiet summer
evening in the
balmy month of June.

The man looked deep into the tree
and knowing he was four foot three
He vowed to write
the greatest thing that
any soul would ever sing,
On quiet, chilly winter nights,
at Baseball games,
while flying kites,
on cargo planes
on speeding trains,
through snow and sleet
an monsoon rains.

Yes, he vowed this song
would astound the masses
and put to shame
the upper classes.
It would heal the sick
and break to pieces
domestic colds and
all diseases.

He made all these claims
without thinking twice,
then fell asleep
on a bag of rice.
