In my heart it is raining.
Outside the rain drips from the eaves
Fallen brown leaves-once sere and crisp-
Now soggy and clogging the gutter.
In my heart, too, it rains
Droplets of mist hang over the streets;
Tomatoes don't ripen; weeds grow too tall.
No tears on my cheeks
But a darkness in my heart
A door closed at the end of the tunnel.
Will the sun shine again on the garden
Will it shine once more in my heart?
