Clouds

Have you ever gazed into the sky
And watched clouds drifting and skipping by?
Some are strong, wild, dark and foreboding,
Others light, fluffy, and inviting.

Some are tunnels filled with energy;
They contain rain, sleet, hail, and snow.
With awesome power in synergy
And ready to strike a fearsome blow.

We have varying levels of fear
As storms peaked with anvil heads draw near.
Green roll clouds from their bases appear:
We watch them change to vertical shear.

Else when we peer into the heavens
We see fair weather clouds with delight.
Magical scenes our thoughts do leaven
And we watch and adore such a sight.

Then when we observe these things above
All together as they push and shove
Till they abide, peaceful as a dove
All fluffy, beautiful - full of love.

The turmoil in our lives is just as real.
A storm that batters until we feel
Nearly consumed. Then God gives a way
If we let Him over life have sway.
