Sean S Poems

As I looked into the vase,
I saw the lily wilt,
for in the reflection I saw her face-
ridden and struck with guilt.
...

I saw something genuine
in that smile she wore,
a happiness that came from deep within,
something that I had never seen before.
...

Eyes like a meadow,
parched by the heat of an unforgiving summer sun,
but quenched by its life giving rain,
Hair of a moon light luster,
...

Past the black void's veil,
into the great beyond,
far further than any solar gale,
just to be left alone with you, to try and form a special bond.
...

A thought, that rang so true,
revealed to me, I was still in love with you,
A love that burned, burned as bright as the sun,
meaning my love for you would never be done;
...

Shadows danced along the walls,
As I ran through the maze of halls.
I dared not look back and see
what fiendish thing was chasing me,
...

Awoken by Thunder,
And a yell from the helmsman,
'She's going under! '
Took a swig from the bottle of gin.
...

The sky lights into a fury of fire and hell,
The bombs are dropping amidst many a soul who continue to yell,
The streets are amok with chaos and brimstone,
as the hellstorm ignites all and sending them home
...

Hark, the moonlight beckons yonder,
thus with it I begin to ponder,
why the sacred night,
is forsaken with the belief that it is full of unholy fright,
...

Her beauty struck me,
As lightning strikes a pole,
But despite the ardent spark, it was hard to see,
How she felt about me, leaving my heart an empty hole.

Sean S Biography

For those who concern themselves with a man of minuscule importance such as myself, I hope you enjoy what I write. I believe that with every bond you make, every relationship that breaks, there is a lesson to be learned about why it didnt work or why it did, and it is with these poems that I express how I feel when these circumstances arise. Opinions are welcomed and appreciated.)

Anguish Of Latterdays

As I looked into the vase,
I saw the lily wilt,
for in the reflection I saw her face-
ridden and struck with guilt.

Each petal fell like a tear from her eye,
and as the flower lost its luster,
I sat in anguish, praying, and yet God gave no reply-
for he could not find the words to muster.
