Shadows danced along the walls,
As I ran through the maze of halls.
I dared not look back and see
what fiendish thing was chasing me,
I stumbled down-
my hope had lost,
as I now lay upon the ground,
for now what thing should soon accost-
I found a tool for defence,
but as I raised it into the air-
what ensued made quite no sense,
for nothing remained there.
I gathered as much strength as I could muster,
only to look out a once dark window and see-
the golden, ardent luster
of the sun's rays that now eveloped me.
The light had cast away the dark,
along with it the shadows and beings that had brought such great disdain,
but hark! -
The sun is a blessing, and it cannot forever remain.
