We Of The Wolves

As I walk through the forest
The eternal and ever present forest
I can feel the pulse of the forest
As it calls me to come home
From the world of the humans
And find true rest among the
Timeless trees and eternal mountains
For I am one of the few soul shifters
O f the forest that live among the humans
Not by personal choice but by the choice
Of the destiny that was given to me
By the Great Moon and I must do
What she commands for my soul animal
Is the Great Wolf, the fierce protector
Of the Great Forest which is disappearing
Day by day, month by month She is disappearing
More and more, too us who are connected to the forest
We feel Her want
We feel Her need
We feel Her pain
We feel Her, in every way normal humans can’t
We can feel Her in the most intimate way possible
No Human can imagine how much pain we can deal with
It would drive humans insane if they knew how much
They take from us every day and yet do not return what
They took even in the smallest way.
There are some who fight for the wolves
Then there are those who fight against us to save the wolves
All because they want to have their freakin farm lands up in the
Everlasting forests, then the corparete yahoo’s come down here and say
That we need more housing or we need more wall marts or some freakin makeup store or a hair salon
What we really need is for the yahoo’s to leave the farm districts and
Leave the forests the way they found them and leave the wolves to
Their own business
