In my old age

THE TRUTH IS/ OUT WHERE THE EDGE OF PAIN IS

The truth is
Out where the edge of pain is
...

MY GLORY IS NOT THE GLORY OF G-D

My glory is not the glory of G-d
I do not know what the glory of God is-
...

I HAD PARENTS /THEY WERE JEWS

I had parents-
They were Jews-
...

MY POEMS ARE THE FEELINGS- THOUGHTS

My poems are the feelings-thoughts I have within me
Perhaps they are not poetry enough-
...

I WALK OUT INTO THE DARKNESS OF ANOTHER DAY

I walk out into the darkness of another day-
Even the light cannot save me-
...

I FEEL MY OWN FAILURE IN ALL I AM

I feel my own failure in all I am
And yet
...

I WALK AND LOOK UP AT THE SKY

I walk and look up at the sky
I try to dream again-

PERHAPS SOME OF MY POEM IS YOURS
