I'm trying to find it
Emotion to believe
But, it's so elusive

They come into our lives like the screaming of a storm
The rain and indistinct noise blots out the rest of the view
Perception and sense distorted and anticipating
Not knowing the lightning is watchful, waiting to strike

The shackles come off

Belief
Searching is so endless
I'm trying to find it
Emotion to believe
But, it's so elusive
What's found is near groundless
Cold is all that will fit
It is the heart they reave
I've become near passive
Lessons are endless
Help me from the pit
As I strive to believe
Guard to be exclusive
Cold can be remorseless
But it's no easy fit
Lies I'm sure to perceive
Promises to forgive
Freedom is so boundless
It is hard, I admit
Searching the world, I'll leave
Someday, the cold must give
