The Goddess

As I stood in the shower and washed my hair
Perusing life and thinking shower thoughts,
How water made from atoms splashes there,
Reused di-hydrogen oxide, eons old;
Once long ago, the Copper Isle was where
Drenched by the selfsame atoms that I see,
In all Her mystic beauty She stood bare;
That ancient stream flowed on to the Great Sea,
Evaporated, mixed, rained down on me.
