A Dilemma

I had a vision
that i'm in a prison
but i still can't find those bars of guilt,
averse to that confinement
a feeling to break free has been kindled,
giving wings to my dreams
waiting just to fly.

But I need to imbibe a fallacious motivation
cause i fear being crushed by failures.
every time I try, a part wither away
for I am scared, what comes next for me,
binding myself to a path, a path of
silently rowing behind the others
thinking unsafe the safe.

Only now have i become a little anxious,
and turned my eyes to the shore,
magnificence that lies there
is niether discovered nor even told
but as i think to hop off
the shackles of security weigh a lot more.

I know,
truth of oblivion is true for all
but a dilemma still lingers in my mind,
for many have taken that leap of faith
but a wind, so strong, has devoured them all.

A ray of hope still shimmers beyond
where stands a group of men
defying the will of wind,
as i admire those brave men
an urge develops: to transcend
but the courage to break those shackles
is still a pint less;
my leap of faith lingers
as the time fades on
