Future
What is the future?
Is the future tomorrow?
Is the future today?
Is the future only present when the present drifts away?
A possible moment in time,
the brain collects to create
The perfect reflection of the heart
based on invisible fate.
Nothing is meant to be
And yet everything is meant to become
Imagery at its finest
when today is said and done
So what really is the future?
Is it something to anticipate?
Does it count as the future
when the idea lacks a distant date?
Does it consist of a memory preserved
for later use
Until what's known as the present
is expired and excused?
Time:
the best illusion without attempt
Provides the mind with a glimpse
of unseen occasions though not beheld,
though not exempt.
Looking forward
To what will soon be left behind
Is what the future will become
in the masses of time
So what is the future?
It is tomorrow.
It is today.
The future is now when
presence itself drifts
away.
