Ye raat hairaan hai, jo aaj yahan chhaai hai…
chaand, taare, falak… sab ko sang bula lai hai…
khushnaseeb hain ye saare jo ye nazara dekh paenge…
suna hai inhone ki aaj do chaand nazar ayenge
...

What is moon without his moonshine… but a barren broken face,
He longs for her, in the cold lonely night… yearnin’ her magical grace

Never seen too far from her, oh! this hopeless helpless lover,
...

Shine of pearls, fresh from the sea…
Or is it the twinkle of the stars I see?

Gleaming… dazzling… like a gypsy’s fortune ball…
