Through the pages of my past
Even in the mid of my endless noise

Love is all, love is you.
Because the world is round
It turns me on.

Stanley Onome Oyibode Biography
Oyibode Stanley Onome hails from Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. The first child of a polygamous family. He completed his primary school education from Otovwodo primary school, Ughelli-Delta State. Thereafter, he proceeded to Lulu secondary school, National Foundation Academy Ughelli and Muazu Ibrahim Commercial Secondary school Kontagora Niger State where he finally completed his secondary school education in 2004. In 2004, he gained admission to Federal College Of Education Kontagora, Niger State where he obtained his Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) English Double Major in 2007. Upon graduation, he taught English language and Literature in English both in Delta State and in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. He later proceeded to Kogi State University for further studies. While at Kogi State University, he won Shell Petroleum scholarship to study English and Literary studies at University of Ibadan-Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria. Stanley is a performing poet, he has read and performed his poems in big cities and Universities within the country. As a poet, he has won numerous poetry awards. These awards includes; FIRST PRIZE WINNER NFA POETRY COMPETITION (Ughelli-Delta State.2002) ,1st RUNNER-UP CHRISTOPHER OKIGBO POETRY COMPETITION, (University of Ibadan-Oyo State.2012) , AWARD OF BEST POET IN FACULTY OF ARTS UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, (Ibadan Oyo Stat 2014) . In 2015, he gained admission to Kaduna State University for his masters' degree, (M.A English) . Mr. Oyibode Stanley Onome is single.)

Home coming is a thing of joy
But this joy saddens my heart
When Home becomes House
And House turns Morgue
Who is there to celebrate me?
When silence House my Home
And celebration turns pile of funeral,
City turns Village,
My pen has kissed the largest book,
But nothing to show for it.
I fought all wars
Now I see a new war.
The cruelty in this world saddens my heart.
Now that the EYES can talk, the MOUTH can see,
Even the grave can lie,
Then who should I trust?
