The hurt, the pain, has returned again,
to remined me i`m only mortal.
...

Lonely hearts, sinues taught,
love for me in you i sought,
Cold days and empty nights,
were mine to hold alone i thought.
...

</>Crytal tears as the cold wind blows,
your life going nowwhere as everyone knows.,
or so they think in wisdoms mind,
everyone, everywhere still seems blind.
...

</>Fires bright, burning new beginings, hope for the future has changed,
what shall we do for those we care, our lives now shackled with chains
Smoke burnes blind our eyes are closed, we pray for all we are worth,
that god will see the folly in us, give deliverence and so forth.
...

</>To whome does god grant power over all things?
are we so vaine as to think its us,
are we not mortal enough for life
given this breath for natures delight.
...

</>The light, where does the light go, on this dull and god forsaken night,
they fall so gently, they sway to and fro, the leaves of natures delight.
A window is the portal to another life outside, another world to behold,
but you sit and stare, you look elsewhere, outside seems way to cold.
...

</>I exist, all i do is exist, i feel life with naked hands and stumble around...blind to what this world has to offer.
Depression is guilt in another form that takes with it our youth.
depressed of your surrounding and guilty for being there,
the shell thats left is full of doupt if we want to tell the truth.
...

</>Anger has cast a couldron deep inside my soul,
its moulton metal to cold to hold,
One sylable or two is all it takes to make this eruption take place,
yet words alone carn`t heal the fold.
...

</>The sound is all around us, the voices we have heard,
for each and every corner, the world does surly turn.
For God is here beside us all and watches over us
he`s in our every movement he`s the power in us all,
...

When first we breath the touch of life,
Hands to craddle,
Natures delight,

stephen morris Biography

Once a hell-raiser but now a Husband in love with life. Hard times behind us and yet to come we have endured many of the things that people only read about yet we still have faith in the lord. Having been a builder most of my life ihave found that being a sculpture is a release from reality, Art is not only in the written word but the visual as well.)

The Journey

The hurt, the pain, has returned again,
to remined me i`m only mortal.

To live, to laugh, to cry again,
to remind me i`m only mortal.

No ease, no rest, no poets blessed,
no sympathy to boot,

Only the knowlegde that we must carry on,
untill the day we rest.

We struggle on, we try to do, what others take for granted,

There will come a time when all will know,
we stood and past the test.

So for now we admitt,
we tryed our best,
we have always loved a great deal

But the truth is not known,
we carry alone
our hurt, our pain, how we feel.,

The end will come soon,
the hurting will cease,
of that we know,
we are certain.

So to all out there,
we wish you a prayer,
in life, with love....you can heal.

Remember the cost,
of all that we carry,
and everything that life has to offer,
for the time will come,
when we all say goodbye,
and happiness we`ll once again marry.

Having recited a few of Steve Morris's poems during camping, over the years, the response haz always been good, and prompted many to buy copies of his books. One of my favourites is Why I left th scouts the last line twist is a Corker. His works are a must for those who take a sideways look at life. Brilliant.
