I see their young faces that ever remain,
I have done their Vales, my respect, in my way,
40 young faces, I seen every day,
...
For we have seen the War’s, the coming of River Styx king tide,
Witnessed the slow rolling damage of Cities, the people mortified,
Brave words of men who cower abaft of Armies, men all steel eyed,
Destruction, carnage and death bought by them whom seem so dignified,
...
40 Faces
I see their young faces that ever remain,
I have done their Vales, my respect, in my way,
40 young faces, I seen every day,
40 young men, age forever at bay.
40 brave young souls who asked for nothing,
40 families missed, ever crying,
40 brothers are forever being,
40 brothers bond in every meaning.
40 40 more names that are etched on tombstones,
40 40 more young souls, for us to atone,
40 Mates will never be alone,
40 more legends have found a new home.
40 more tears to fall on ANZAC day,
40 more Soldiers will forever stay,
40 more Soldiers died so young so brave,
40 more Soldiers with no more todays.
