Sujoy Bhattacharya Poems

Calmness crawls in my closet to cohabit with tranquillity!
Your presence I feel everywhere.
The wind carries the aromatic odour of your body.
I get startled with the pleasant hope
...

I am floating and floating...
The blueness of the sky was dyeing my heart with azure aroma!
The fleet of the floating nimbus greeted me with
cajoling warmth.
...

Emancipation
The mango tree wizened
With her offspring's weight.
The wind did not blow hard

What I look for.
What I intend to have,
The floating clouds indicate
What should I quest for.
...

I came home really mashed
drinking the bitter soup of insult!
Who insulted me?
A place where a chunk of green nature
...

Fossil sobs
It was a long journey
from illness to recovery.
And a longer travel from
...

It was a rainy day.
The sky was shedding tears since morning.
The tall trees were being shaken virulently
by the flippant wind.
...

Trees trampled.
Green corpses groaning!
Ailment - stricken wind
nursing nauseating blood!
...

Water drops spill
Porous container makes
foolish effort to keep it captive.
I was making a snare
...

Where I would go I know not at all.
Are flowers there as friendly as they are here.
Fragrance of jasmine wipe out my tears of human fetidity!
Roses teach me that life is now a bed of roses.
...

The wood cutter sniffs the blade of his axe.
He smells the blood of the tree.
He fed the fetid blood to the brook
In the pretext of cleaning his axe.
...

A lewd look
A profligate sensuality.
Greedy cast paralyzes my supple limb.
Love of the sky for the horizon.
...

I have commuted an unpardonable crime.
I remember that day to stimulate my
lachrymal gland for shedding tears of repentance.
It was a new moon night.
...

I see and sigh!
I read with my eyes
Inscriptions of woes written
Om human heart, with tears!
...

What makes you look so sad?
Wearing a morose mood,
Casting a crestfallen shadow on your eyes,
What are you looking forinto the blue vacuum ?
...

I was born on sixth February.
Why I was born? I don't know!
Millions of babies took birth on that very day
Somewhere on the earth.
...

I was walking carelessly!
Was I lost in a devilish pondering?
Might be I was!
A caterpillar was crossing a forbidden lane.
...

It was a hot summer.
I was taking nap at noon after lunch.
A cosy coir - cot in my shade- soothed
courtyard invited me to roll over it
...

Are you tired of flowing?
Oh! Yamuna - you are groaning.

The wind is weeping silent

I love to follow the maxims and proverbs in my life.
They are like stars dispersing darkness for distracted travellers.
I tried to decorate the edifice of my life with the wreaths of adages.
My near and dear ones considered me as a persistent lunatic person to worship age - old adages as living deities.

You Still Exists

Calmness crawls in my closet to cohabit with tranquillity!
Your presence I feel everywhere.
The wind carries the aromatic odour of your body.
I get startled with the pleasant hope
of seeing your mortal presence again.
My wounded hope chide the wind for
playing such a heart shattering flippant deception!
The delight - drizzling chirping of morning birds
reminds me of many thrilling memories!
I time travel to those fragrant recollections that
revive my exuberance to dance with my mental hilarity.
The floating clouds sob with misty tears as they could not
bring you back on my baleful request.
They poured a torrent of briny rain
to reassure me of human mortality.
The twinkling stars sends me a letter solace -
I get immersed into the terrestrial fluid
to benumbmy sensory organs
so that I can sleep to give rest to my insomniac eyes!
