T. P. Martin Poems

Sometimes I get so busy, a doing this and that,
But then in thought you'll come to me, I always stop and chat.
Your presence is warmly welcomed, as it carries me away,
My heart will feel much lighter, as we recall the happy days.

Sometimes you walk so fast, I can't keep up with you,
I wish that you would slow down so we can enjoy the view.
The grass, it looks like magic blowing in the wind,
I don't know when I'll have the chance to see this site again.

I'd like to put you in my pocket, so you would be there for me,
When things got rough and out of hand, I know your help, would always set me free.
I remember when we were little, you, I liked to be around,
When things were good or bad, you picked me up, you never put me down.
...

She never touched my hand, She lovingly touched my heart,
Saying farewell to her, I had no significant part.
I know not words to say, the feelings I have inside,
I watch as they carried her away, and tried so, but I cried.

I remember those freckles all over your nose,
Were you got those curly ears, God only knows.
Many times I turned to you and said, wanna ride?
You would sit in my lap, and fill my heart with pride.

My Guest In Thought

Sometimes I get so busy, a doing this and that,
But then in thought you'll come to me, I always stop and chat.
Your presence is warmly welcomed, as it carries me away,
My heart will feel much lighter, as we recall the happy days.
These feelings are priceless, so with money they can't be bought,
Because, My Dear, you come to me, a welcomed guest in thought.
