Tenebro Angelus Poems

Across the sea I saw an island
Nothing but trees, dirt, and sand
But then I saw a girl on the beach
She was pretty but far out of reach
...

My memories haunt me like ghosts from the past
Reminding of the relationships that ended too fast
I try to forget, and sometimes I succeed
But I'm afraid of where this depression might lead
...

Sweet mercy, sweet love, why am I forsaken
Why do I feel that my heart is literally breaking
I try to think but my thoughts are of you
I know where to go, don't know what to do
...

Sadness brings out the best
Of the thoughts from my chest
The impulses they bleed
With the sweet memories
...

To you the first who stole my heart
I write this first of two pieces of art
You shunned me for a while but I had hope
That you'd take an interest in this dope

The Boy And The Island Girl

Across the sea I saw an island
Nothing but trees, dirt, and sand
But then I saw a girl on the beach
She was pretty but far out of reach

So I wrote her a note, and set it to sea
In a bottle I had found next to me
I waited a day and found a reply
On the beach next to where I reside

For months we sent them to and fro
I slowly fell with every single note
One day I decided it was time to meet
So I went to the cliff and dove into the sea

But I hit the water in the wrongest way
And I got caught up in a heavy wave
She saw me dive, she saw me drown
She swam to save me, while I was down

I awoke on the island I'd long since seen
To a girl I believe was just over nineteen
Her eyes were heavy with joyful tears
I guess my awakening had cured her fears

She embraced me with a hug
Her lips finally met mine
As I layed there all snug
I knew I would be fine

Today I looked and saw my home
Or what was my home when I was alone
