Thoughts of summer fill my head.
Dark brown trees fill up the sky;
Leafless silent way up high.

Flags of flying geese, waving in the sky,
Heralding autumn, with cries loud and high.

Green leaves turning red, orange, and yellow,

The Witch of the Winter she calls to me,
Come lay in my cool, white softness.
So lovely and pure, I will be your cure,
For all the world’s sorrow and sadness.

October’s such a ghoulish month,
Strange mists and fogs that rise.
Colors are often brown and black,
With orange as a surprise.

Of all the ills that be fall man,
Time, like endless grains of sand,
Warps the mind, twist the soul,
Makes the body to grow old,

Fingers dance on mountain crests,
Then through the valley pass,
Glide in the silky meadow,
On to the hill's sweet grass.

On perilous roads, his soul never sleeps,
Searching for some hallowed ground,
He looks for an explanation,
An end to his mortal sleep.

The moon's soft glow through frosted clouds,
Felt tarnished and worn like our love.
Twisted by our desire, shamed by society,
Meeting where the beds are well tended,
