The Techno Mentality

Complexly curving
Scarily expensive
The virtues of life
Are mildly offensive
To the natural mind
Infinitely attractive
But morally wrong
Techno pleasure's a sin
And one you begin
To enjoy
And employ
As the only choice
The loudest voice
The evolving appliance
Of thoroughbred science
Proffers its wares
Without a care
I despair
At wide screens
And altered genes
And the problems they make
And the world it creates
Yet I covet
I envy
And consume all I can
In a land with the calamity
Of mass produced vanity
And a burning addiction
To techno insanity.
