Why are we so different?
Why don’t we see eye to eye?
Why do we turn away and deny?

The old weathered entrance door
Is dragging and rubbing on the floor.
When it was required to go in or out…
It was necessary to forcibly push with clout.

I want to hold an umbrella over you head
I want to protect you from the stress and hurt ahead
But then I would take away the lessons that life conveys
It is your time to find a way through the bewildering haze

hard to please
difficult to appease
when it comes to satisfaction
there is a questionable reaction

A plastic bottle is now drained
Beverage is no longer contained

Quenched is thirstiness on a hot day

Dry parched tongue and cracking lips
Longing for something wet and pleasing
Experiencing a complete brain eclipse
Losing consciousness …wheezing

To a mindset with more appeal
In the midst of random choices
Your selection absolutely rejoices
