On this road we travel, this thing that we call life.
Can be quite perplexing full of trouble and it's strife.
When the journey's over, our time on earth is done.
We will be rewarded for the faith kept in God's Son.

They say the dog is man's best friend, I'll have to disagree.
He's much more than a friend, he's part of my family.
Dogs are awesome creatures, unique in every way.
He's there to greet me when I wake and all throughout my day.
...

As I grow old, I try and see.
The precious gifts, God gives to me.
For in the past, I was so wrong.
And did not see, until they were gone.
...

Many times I am sorrowed, looking inward at me.
This poor wretched soul, a sinner I see.
And I'm certain God hates me, this man that I am.
I'm sure I have failed, His purpose and His plan.
...

These are the end of times my friend.
With each new day that's hastened in.
That day is close, even at the door.
This world will soon, be here no more.

Dogs love socks, and like to tug on them.
And prefer the ones, which on the feet have been.
This is a strange phenomenon one that makes me think.
Perhaps it is the way they smell or the way they stink.

The freedom we share is surely not free.
It's paid with lives given, for you and for me.
All the brave who have fallen, at air, sea and land.
So we remain free and our nation may stand.

Only because of Him, are we forgiven of our sin.
Only because of Him, though we die we live again.
Only because of Him, what He did upon that cross.
Only because of Him, we are saved and not lost.
...

Some think they've committed the unpardonable sin.
That God could never ever forgive them again.
But God in His mercy will always forgive.
Come back to His Son so then you shall live.

When life has dealt us a suffering blow.
Death takes a loved one, why we can't know.
We turn to God for comfort as we grieve.
Our faith has been shaken yet still we believe.
...

I trust The Lord with all my heart.
My faith in Him will never part.
His Holy Word is pure and true.
By His grace I'll make it through.
...

Though now I am weak, this vessel of clay.
I shall overcome, even though I pass away.
For I do believe in God's One Only Son.
So when this body dies I shall still overcome.

The Journey

On this road we travel, this thing that we call life.
Can be quite perplexing full of trouble and it's strife.
When the journey's over, our time on earth is done.
We will be rewarded for the faith kept in God's Son.
And the red words written in the Bible they are true.
Promised eternal life will be fulfilled for me and you.
So be not overtaken with anguish and dismay.
For your getting closer where there is no end of day.
