The Prince Met His Princess

Once there was a prince
In search of something
That’s really hard to find…

Few claimed it easily while others lost in pain.
Fighting for that something, uncertainty in vain…

So the prince traveled in search of it,
Packing all his Pride, honor, honesty,
And a crossed finger for luck…
And accompanied by his old trusty bike…

In search of the happiness and someone
To share his life with,
With a pat on the tank of his bike
A sigh and a big gasp of air…

The journey is on…

And it took him five long years
Searching for the elusive thing
A feeling that
Everybody wants to feel.

Warm, fuzzy, fast beating, heart thumping,
Heart warming, Insatiable, sensation
That makes every part of us tick for more…
And when it stops… Everyone longs for it…

But sadly the prince somehow dismayed
For not finding, what he searched for…
Never given up, Never loses hope
Still have the zest, and the energy
For that elusive word, that if I may define,
'Composed of a four-letter word…'

And so tired with a bruised ego,
He stops for awhile in a place were all
The knights in metal clad hang around…
Were all that is spoken is about
Their iron-clad companion…

The prince having lost all
The energy and the depleting resources
He has…

Decided to stay for a while…

And in exchange for his
Stay, he must work
And be a servant
For the other knights that may
Come around
And may need some help…

The prince with all that he is, accepted
With no remorse nor argued
And gladly smiled to the owner of
The Keep…

As months passed
He came to know some of the
Places and things that makes
This place interesting

One day as he rests from a tiring work
He noticed a store full of different kinds
Of concoctions, to fuel his thirst and hunger…

There he met a maiden of
Whom she never knew,
Never even saw,
A beautiful Princess of that he is sure…

Mesmerize by the way she look
Dazzled by the beauty of her eye
The prince stands still,
Not knowing what to do
Or what to say,
He just stood there
Hanging from the very moment that he’s in…

And finally a tap on
His back, by a fellow knight…

The prince sighs.

“Could this be the
End of my journey
Or a beginning of
Yet another tragic story”

Oh, how the prince wish
That he may never take another journey….
He sighs and sighs…
And as days past
Whenever he has time,
He looks at her, with a troubled eye…
Confused yet he wants the feeling
He is having right now…

The prince wished there was a chance
For him to know the name of the
Beautiful princess that his eyes laid upon...

And as weeks past the chance
He wished for was granted.
One night, a party was set by the
Fellow knights…
There they met again, the prince
In his confused and dazzled state
Asks the princess name…
At first, the princess is hesitant
To give her name, but at last
The name that he utterly and
Dearly wants, is an earshot away…

If you could only imagine how
The prince reacts when he hears
The name…

He smiled like no other man
Enchanted by the moment he is in…
He forgets every problem he has
And focused all his attention
To this princess he dreamed for years…

The prince sighs again…

“And the rest,
The time still holds it…
The prince still never knew
What fate has unto him?
He just hangs and follows
The flow of life,
Never knowing if it’s a
Happy ending or not,
I dare not know it…
I will leave it to the time
To reveal its true story,
And how it’ll end”

And so that one faithful summer night,
Started a romantic state
That the two knows and wonder why…
Day and night, they talk
Like it’s the last day of their life…

And those sleepless nights
When the prince just stares at the sky
Thinking and wishing that
His dear princess is also
Looking at the sky…

And those happy days that they’re
Together, walking around the park…
And those nights that they share
Talking together and eating in a
Fancy fast food…

Those are the moments
The prince reminisce, and
It holds a big part in his heart
Those are the times
When the prince is so happy
And just wished it never ends…

He wished it never ends
And
Prayed that his journey
Will end…

But sad it is to the prince
He must accept the fact
That his dear princess is committed
With somebody else,
That her heart belongs to
Someone else, that he the prince
Is nothing more but just a friend…

The Prince sighs again

“Should I cry and wait?
Or
Should I smile and go away? ”

These words troubled him so much
The prince didn’t know what to do…
He just followed his heart
Didn’t care if he’ll be hurt or not…

The prince who was once strong
Is now weakened by his self,
By his heart…

The once ally he trust
Now betrays him,
But what can he do…

Troubled be it,
I’ll wait for her
Even if it takes
Three years of pain…
He says…

And with this final word
He bid goodbye and sighs

“I’m tired already”

The prince hoped that his
Dear Princess reads this
Poem all the time……..
