I Await The Rain

As I look at the pictures
strewn across the floor
I know it's no more........
It's gone never to come back..
I have seen the last look...
heard the last voice
I have forgotten the touch....
I can burn the pictures
but how do i erase the images in my mind...
Have blocked the noises
but some sounds still haunt me...
The touch that gave me warmth
now it burns a hole in my heart.....
As i look out the window..
the bright day has lost it's glow..
It's darkness all around..
can't help but to await the rain
to wash away my pain..
