Why Did We Dream?

Long long days under the copper sun
We ran and ran with invented smiles
That smile we always consider
When today we weep in clean clothes

Strong strong rains we played under
We laughed and rolled over
That mirth which stills lingers
On those soiled and now old pictures.

Sweet sweet dreams of flying like a bird
We flapped our hands and giggled
These grazes and cuts that illustrate of
Those misplaced life of ours.

Great great plans that we had had
We seized our hearts and listened
Those days of which we ask now
“Why dreams has now lost its wonder.”
