Memories Of Misery

The fears that I have never shown,
will now be seen, and all be known.
The times I've lost, times left behind,
were once forgotten, set out of mind.
But misery can only bring,
memories that burn and sting.
Memories of hallowed hearts,
once were joined, now in two parts.
All the tears of forgotten past,
are now brought back, and back to last.
Presently, the birds may sing,
a harmony of but one thing;
A heart be split, in two be torn,
by only one, sweet woman's scorn.
Alas, it is, a bitter gift,
meant for the heart, be lost in endless rift.
In endless rift the heart be lost,
the final payment, final cost.
